Carolina Blues
03:25
|

I hear the train rolin down the line. Her steady speed, her lonesome whine. I hear the train rollin down the line and now shes gone long gone for carolina.
My boots are worn, my hands are tired. My poor heart bleeds a fools desire. Cant get no sleep, cant ease my mind cause now shes gone long gone for carolina.
This lonely hold wont let me go. Now im so tired of feeling low. Yeah i could lay right down and die. Say goodbye and leave this lonesome world behind.

Swept Away

You stole my love like a heartless thief. Swept me away I was shaking like a leaf. When you took my hand like a dog for a bone i was waggin my tail couldnt leave you alone.
Well you make me laugh you make me grin and if I had a second chance Id do it all again cause your love runs wild all through my veins. Jumpin from the rooftop screamin your name.
Now i knew when I built my tower that tall I never had a chance. It was bound to fall but you stayed with me through the thick and thin. Rollin them bones and Im playin to win.

Ramblin Fools
02:34

Lately Ive been broken. Aint had me but one thin dime and I aint got no phone for to answer (so dont call me) and i aint got no job in line.
Cause lord Im a ramblin. No i aint gonna go and settlle down. Me and my woman weve been ramblin fools. Forever to this highway we are bound.
Now the sound of freedom gets so lonesome. When youre rollin in from town to town. And were blowin from florida round to georgia and way up north and into new york town.
Cause lord Im a ramblin. No i aint gonna go and settlle down. Me and my woman weve been ramblin fools. Forever to this highway we are bound.
So when whiskey tastes like water, that gin will never leave me blue and as long as the bottle lies beside me lord my wandering days are never thru.
Cause lord Im a ramblin. No i aint gonna go and settlle down. Me and my woman weve been ramblin fools. Forever to this highway we are bound.

Sorrow Tenfold
04:09
|

Well the spanish moss leaves they blow in the breeze and the birds sit high on the wire. And i know its not me theyve been coming to see but i can pretend for a while.
So i sit in my throne by my solemn and lone with my cancer and mud for my IV. And the engine hums grow on the street down below and Im watching them as they ride by me.
Now the shadows have gone theres a high noon a rising. The sun shines its glitter and gold on a street that parades all its suckers and slaves. Its a long road waving and winding.
See my mother she writes with my hopes of returning. She wonders how Ive got along. And she sends her regards on the moon and the stars with her visions of grandeur aside them.
But for my two days of traveling I got three months of pain and I aint got no dollar and no dime. Oh and all that I own is this sorrow tenfold so i tell her Im doing just fine.

Let That Whiskey Be

If I had a dollar bill Id go to old man Johnsons still. Hey hey let that whiskey be. And id put that dollar in his hand for the best damn moonshine in this land. Hey hey let that whiskey be.
Well ive been drinkin now for days. My boots are gone and i cant see stright. Hey hey let that whiskey be. And there aint no body else to blame hell no one even knows my name. Hey hey let that whiskey be.
That bootleg whiskey took my life. It took my dog. It took my wife. Hey hey let that whiskey be. I drank myself from house and home and now these dirty streets i roam. Hey hey let that whiskey be.
But if i had a dollar bill id go to old man johnsons still. Hey het let that whiskey be. And id put that dollar in his hand for the best damn moonshine in this land. Hey hey let that whiskey be.
